SERVICES EXCLUSIVE OF ESTABLISHMENTS.
Roads, Streets, and Bridges.
Read a Minute by His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government recommending a re-vote of $5,000, and an additional vote of $4,300, for the re-construction of Pedder's Wharf The Committee find that a sum of $5,000 was voted last year, and that a further sum of $5,000 was provided in this year's Estimates, for this service.
The Committee further find that the Surveyor General has recommended that the Pier should be constructed of Aranga wood which is much more durable than the ordinary hard wood, and that this would therefore raise the original estimate from $10,000 to $14,300.
The Committee consider the revised estimate reasonable, and recommend, therefore, the re-vote of $5,000, with an additional vote of $4,300.
The Committee adjourn sine die.
Read and confirmed this 17th day of February, 1886.
